Baptism

It is a great joy to celebrate Baptism with those who, through the Holy Spirit respond to the life and love of God in Jesus Christ. Baptism is the sacrament of Christian initiation. In the Anglican tradition, infants, children and adults may be baptised.

Bapism is a wonderful opportunity for the church to welcome new members into God’s family. They an also be part of the regular church service. Other times may be negotiated with the clergy.

If you would like to have your child baptised at our church, or you would like to be baptised yourself, please contact the church office (02) 4344 1347 to arrange an appointment with the Rector.

Funerals

For thousands of years, rituals have been symbolic experiences that help us navigate life’s important events.

A funeral service expresses our beliefs, hopes and feelings. It honours the person we are saying goodbye to, assists us in saying those goodbyes, and helps us to acknowledge someone we love has died.

Usually the family of the deceased makes initial contact with a Funeral Director who then contacts the Clergy. We can recommend a Funeral Director if you wish.

A funeral service follows the Anglican Book of Prayer. It usually consists of: Hymns/Music, One or more Bible readings, honouring words from family and friends. The clergy can assist you to prepare a service and it would be our privelige to help you celebrate and farewell your loved one.

If you wish to make an appointment to meet with the rector, please contact the church office (02) 4344 1347 to arrange an appointment.
